Cocoa Beach - February 25th/28th 2011

AMAZING NEWS - SPACE SHUTTLE ENDEAVOUR SCHEDULED TO LAUNCH FROM CAPE CANAVERAL, COCOA BEACH ON THE SATURDAY OF THE RALLY !! A ONCE IN A LIFETIME EXPERIANCE !!!!!!!!!!

Cocoa beach in sunny Florida has now replaced  las vegas as the bi-annual joint US/UK scooter rally. Set in the shadow of Cape Canaveral it is Florida's widest beach and the centre of the Florida surf scene. It is a really chilled out beach town with  many bars and restaurants. It is also the home of the biggest surf shop in the world and was the town were the classic after school program “I dream of jeanie” was set.
We have managed to do a deal with the Cocoa Beach Comfort Inn a 170 room hotel right by the beach based around a central courtyard complete with swimming pool, palm trees, banana trees ect. It has a pub and large ballroom so both evening do’s, custom show, dealers market and daytime events will be based around the hotel with rideouts to various places including a Kennedy space centre ride on Saturday. We are hoping to take over the whole hotel.
Cocoa Beach is the closest beach to orlando with all its parks and  attractions but Florida has an amazing array of things to do and see from Miami, the Everglades and the Florida Keys down south, Disney, Universal etc in the central region and the sun baked beaches of both the Atlantic and Gulf coasts.
Flights are available from all over the UK to both Orlando (45 miles) and Miami (190 miles) both within driving distance or take a shuttle from Orlando airport to hotel. Driving in Florida is the easiest in the US as the whole place is set up with tourism in mind. Transatlantic flights tend to come down in price at about 3 months before departure date.
